News & Event(s) | Jeff Aguillon | 10 March 2016 | Print

NAMRIA was given a Certificate of Recognition by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for obtaining the maturity Level-II indicators in all four Human Resource (HR) systems under the CSC Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM): Recruitment, Selection, and Placement; Performance Management; Learning and Development; and Rewards and Recognition.  NAMRIA Administrator Peter N. Tiangco personally accepted the award  from CSC Commissioners Robert S. Martinez and Nieves L. Osorio in a simple ceremony held at Luxent Hotel in Quezon City on 07 March 2016.  Administrator Tiangco was accompanied by Administrative Division Chief Concepcion A. Bringas in receiving the award.

The Human Resource Policies and Standards Office of the CSC-Central Office validated the said recognition through the issuance of CSC Memorandum No. 57, s. 2016, which states that NAMRIA has indeed met the HR maturity Level-II indicators for the aforementioned HR systems.

In 2014 and 2015, a total of 345 government agencies underwent self-assessment of their existing HR systems and competencies against globally competitive HR indicators.  Of these agencies, 23 were found by CSC-NCR to have accomplished and complied with any or all of the four HR systems.  Out of the 345 agencies, NAMRIA is proud to be one of only two agencies that were able to have met the maturity Level-II indicators for all HR systems.  The agency now enjoys certain privileges such as 20% discount for the CSC training programs, priority in the use of the CSC Learning Resource Center and dormitories, and the authority to take final action on appointments.  The agency is currently working on obtaining the Level-III accreditation status, the highest conferment for a government office.
