NAMRIA welcomes new probationary ensigns in oath-taking ceremony

Four newly appointed probationary ensigns of the NAMRIA Hydrography Branch (HB) took their oath of office during the branch's hybrid oath-taking ceremony on 30 May 2023. NAMRIA Administrator, Usec. Peter N. Tiangco, PhD presided over the event, which was conducted at the NAMRIA San Nicolas office and streamed via YouTube Live.
 
HB Officer in Charge (OIC)-Director, Capt Antonio G Valenzuela, Jr read out the special orders and names of the four newly appointed officers: PEns Jerich A Cayabyab, PEns Hannah Lou B Argota, PEns Ana Liane Z Zausa, and PEns Sam Kristian H Lambus.
 
Other key officials present during the event were OIC-Assistant Director for Administration, Capt Carter S Luma-ang and HB-Survey Support Division (SSD) Chief, Cdr Teodoro D Pasahol. Relatives and friends of the new probationary ensigns also witnessed the oath-taking ceremony, which included the symbolic donning of ranks.
 
Probationary Ensign Cayabyab delivered, on behalf of the newly appointed probationary ensigns, a message of pride, determination, and readiness to serve the nation. He emphasized their commitment to upholding their duties with the utmost integrity and dedication, faithfully abiding by the oath they had taken.
 
In his inspirational message, Administrator Tiangco highlighted the significance of the event and the responsibilities that lie ahead for the new officers. He expressed his confidence in their capabilities and commended them for the exceptional achievements that led to their appointment. He also acknowledged the support of their families and mentors whose guidance, he said, played an instrumental role in shaping their careers. In closing, Administrator Tiangco reminded the newly appointed probationary ensigns of the vital role that they will play in serving the country and urged them to continue pursuing excellence in their careers. The oath-taking ceremony was officially concluded by the event's host, PEns Ailyn G Atienza.
