User training on GADIS
Trainings / Workshops | Maria Romina D. Pe Benito | 15 December 2020 | Print
Gender and Development (GAD)-related data of NAMRIA are now housed in a data management application called GAD Information System (GADIS).  GADIS was developed to ensure the availability of and access to NAMRIA GAD information, education, and communication (IEC) materials and audio-visual presentations, sex-disaggregated data (SDD) reports, GAD references, and all files of NAMRIA’s GAD activities.
GADIS was developed by Geospatial System Development Division (GSDD) of Geospatial Information System Management Branch (GISMB).  It comprises of the following modules: Data Builder for uploading GAD-related data; Data Viewer for viewing uploaded GAD-related data; Logs for viewing, querying, and generating user activity; Report Generator for the SDD, GAD-related training, and GAD Lens profile; and User Maintenance for updating user access.  Although the intended users of GADIS are the NGFPS and project implementers of GAD-attributed projects, the web-enabled information system is accessible to all NAMRIA employees via the NAMRIA network.
The first of a series of user trainings for GADIS was conducted on 04 December 2020, from 9 am to 11 am via Google Meet.  The participants were from the NAMRIA GAD Focal Point System (NGFPS) led by its chairperson, Dr. Rijaldia N. Santos.
The resource persons were ITO II Fatima A. Santos and CP II Homer Paulo R.  Macawili. The training facilitators were GSDD staff Emilie A. Manalad, Lyra Anne H. Samarista, and Fely C. Espinas.  NGFPS committee member and GSDD chief Arlene B. Brillantes, along with GSDD section chiefs Romel J. Francisco and Donald M. Gutierrez, also helped address queries raised during the activity.
