NAMRIA, through its Bayanihang Bayan Desk (BBD), showed its appreciation to its frontliners through the distribution of incentives during the Pasasalamat at Ayuda para sa Lingkod-Bayani ng NAMRIA sa Panahon ng Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). The distribution was held at the Lecture Hall, NAMRIA Fort Bonifacio Office, Taguig City on 30 June 2020.  The efforts of 46 outsourced staff were highlighted during the simple and physically-distanced activity.  The staff reported to work at the NAMRIA Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City and San Nicolas, Manila City offices, including the Magnetics Observatory located at Muntinlupa City and the Muelle del Codo compound in Manila City, during the ECQ period from 16 March 2020 to 15 May 2020.  The outsourced frontliners in attendance were security officers and guards from D’Champ Security Agency, Inc. and administrative support personnel from LSERV Corporation.

The program started with a brief background of the activity given by NAMRIA BBD Focal Person Jeffrey A. Quodala.  On behalf of NAMRIA Administrator, Usec. Peter N. Tiangco, PhD, Mr. Quodala thanked the frontline staff for their dedication, hard work, and sacrifices during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, ECQ period.

Atty. Erwin B. Bellen of the Administrator’s Office and Mr. Quodala led the distribution of 46 cash envelopes and gift certificates, which are redeemable at the NAMRIA Multi-Purpose Cooperative (NMPC) until July 2020.  The activity ended with NMPC Chairperson Agnes G. Radam thanking NAMRIA for its generosity towards its frontline staff.   She also assured the frontline staff of the NMPC’s being responsive to their grocery needs.

In another NAMRIA BBD activity, nine boxes containing pre-loved clothes, towels, blankets, and shoes/footwear were donated to the fire victims of Brgy. Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City on 20 June 2020.  NAMRIA BBD representative, Ms. Marivic L. Martonito of the Mapping and Geodesy Branch, a resident of Brgy. Namayan, Mandaluyong City, was assisted by Namayan Barangay Chairman Victor Emmanuel S. Francisco, Jr. in the turnover of the said boxes/donations.  The staff of the Mandaluyong City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWDD) gladly received the donations and promised Ms. Martonito that they will distribute the donations promptly to all the fire victims.
