A team from the Local Field Research (LFR) on the Certificate Course in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for Results visited NAMRIA on 06 June 2017. The course is being conducted by the Asian Institute of Management through the initiative of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), and with funding support from UNICEF. It is part of the last module of the training program on Knowledge Management and Information System for M&E. 

 

The visit aims to study the agency's use of technology, information systems, and knowledge management for monitoring and evaluation.

Presentation on the Philippine Geoportal Project

 

During the meeting, Geospatial Information System Management Branch (GISMB) Director John Santiago F. Fabic expressed his appreciation to the team for choosing the agency as model of an organized public institution for good practices in respect to its mandate.  The following presentations were made during the meeting: NAMRIA audio-visual presentation, Strategic Plan by Engineer Lorelei E. Peralta of the Policy and Planning Division, PRIME-HR Journey by Ms. Concepcion A. Bringas, Chief of Administrative Division, and Information System by Ms. Arlene B. Brillantes, OIC of the Geospatial System Development Division. The event was headed by GISMB Director Fabic and Support Services Branch Director Febrina E. Damaso.

The tour consisted of a courtesy call to NAMRIA Administrator, Dr. Peter N. Tiangco, CESO I, and stops at the NAMRIA Geomatics Training Center (NGTC), the Philippine Geoportal and Information System, Photogrammetry Division, Geodesy Division, Land Resource and Data Analysis Division, and the NAMRIA Museum. The tour of facilities was led by Mr. Marlon A. Mariñas of Geospatial Information Services Division.
