NAMRIA, through its Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (GFPS), joined the celebration of the 2023 National Women's Month (NWMC). A virtual kick-off program was held via Facebook Live on 01 March 2023.
NAMRIA GFPS Chairperson and Officer in Charge (OIC)-Deputy Administrator (DA) Ofelia T. Castro talked about this year's NWMC theme WE for gender equality and inclusive society, in her opening remarks. She explained how women's empowerment is Women and Everyone’s concern, and encouraged women and men alike to support the advocacy of a gender-bias-free society. OIC-DA Castro also announced the month-long NWMC activities that the NAMRIA GFPS has prepared.

In his inspirational message, NAMRIA Administrator, Usec. Peter N. Tiangco, PhD gave assurance of the agency's continuing to actively seek women's empowerment and that it "will not wait a long time for gender equality and inclusivity to happen."

Mr. Quodala serves as the facilitator of the kick-off program.
The 2023 NWMC kick-off program was spearheaded by the NAMRIA GFPS, facilitated by Mr. Jeffrey A. Quodala, and technically-assisted by the Geospatial Information Services Division-Geospatial Information System Management Branch.
