NAMRIA celebrates its agile and future-ready servant-heroes in 121st PCSA culminating activity

NAMRIA, together with its Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee, gave out five different awards to a total of 122 employees and 25 local government units (LGUs) during the agency's 121st Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) culminating activity. The event was held via Zoom and Facebook livestreaming on 30 September 2021.

 The Loyalty Awards were given to 56 employees who continuously and satisfactorily served the agency for certain milestone years: 40 years for seven employees; 35 years for eight employees; 30 years for 12 employees; 25 years for nine employees; 20 years for five employees; 15 years for 14 employees; and 10 years for one employee. Service Awards were given to 31 employees who retired this year. Kaka-iba Ka Awards were given to 30 employees who were recommended by their respective branches for their hard work and accomplishments. Certificates of appreciation were given to 25 participating municipalities in the LGU Geographic Information System Capability Assessment Survey Project of NAMRIA in the last five years. Five employees were also remembered through the Posthumous Awards.

 "Behind our every milestone is a group of agile and future-ready NAMRIAns," said NAMRIA Administrator, Usec. Peter N. Tiangco, PhD, as he acknowledged the awardees in his inspirational message. He also encouraged everyone to "remain true and consistent with our NAMRIA values - striving for excellence and extending welfare to others."

NAMRIA Hydrography Branch (HB) Officer in Charge (OIC)-Director and PRAISE Chairperson Cdr. Antonio G. Valenzuela, Jr. expressed the hope that this celebration would inspire all of the agency's lingkod bayani to continue putting their best foot forward in their respective fields.

The event also featured the recorded community singing, led by the NAMRIA Choir, of We Heal As One and Para Sa Bayan by the NAMRIA management and employees.

NAMRIA's virtual PCSA culminating activity was organized by the Support Services Branch (SSB), with the support of the Geospatial Information System Management Branch (GISMB). Ms. Ma. Jesabel M. Ramos of the Human Resources Management Section-Administrative Division, SSB, hosted the event; while Mr. Erwin D. Famatiga of the Geospatial Information Services Division, GISMB, spearheaded the technical work for the livestreaming.
