The technical staff of NAMRIA's Geomatics Training Center (NGTC) through the initiative of Atimonan, Quezon Mayor Rustico Joven U. Mendoza, and the Sangguniang Bayan, conducted Basic and Advanced Training Programs on Geographic Information System (GIS) using QGIS software at the Conference Room of the Municipal Building on 06-10 and 20-24, March 2017.

The participants came from the offices for Planning and Development, Engineering, Assessors and Disaster Risk Reduction.

Ms. May Modelo-Sornito, Project Development Officer II, coordinated with NAMRIA for the requirements of both parties. It was also agreed upon, that after the training program, technical assistance will still be given to the municipality of Atimonan as they comply with the requirements of the Enhanced Comprehensive Land Use Plan (E-CLUP).
