Inventory conducted for Cebu Regional MSO

A four-man team conducted an inventory of all maps, charts, and other data holdings of the Cebu Map Sales Office (MSO) on 09-13 November 2015.  The team was organized by the Geospatial Information Services Division (GISD) of the Geospatial Information System Management Branch (GISMB) that is handling the operation of all NAMRIA MSOs in the country.  
Ms. Celeste E. Barile, GISD-GISMB Information Officer IV and Officer In Charge (OIC) for operations of the NAMRIA Quezon City map sales field office and regional offices, headed the inventory team with Ms. Michelle Ann M. Aguilar, Mr. Romeo B. Brizuela (from NAMRIA San Nicolas-MSO) and this writer as support staff.
 

Mr. Melchor E. Togonon, NAMRIA tide observer and OIC of the NAMRIA Region VII (Cebu) MSO, briefed and oriented the team about the current status of the MSO before he left Cebu to attend a one-week capability-building training for NAMRIA’s tide observers which was held in Manila and conducted by the NAMRIA Hydrography Branch.

The inventory included cleaning and fixing of the MSO office, and listing of maps and charts due for disposal.
