NAMRIA gears up for transition to ISO 9001:2015

The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) conducted a training course on ISO Quality Management System (QMS) Requirements and Documentation to help NAMRIA in the transition from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015 on Mapping and Geospatial Information Management. The training, an initiative of Administrator Peter N. Tiangco, was held at Hotel Kimberly, Tagaytay City on 21-23 February 2018.
 
GISMB Director John Santiago F. Fabic, Quality Management Representative of the Quality Core Group, delivered the opening remarks on behalf of the Administrator. He challenged everyone to make “quality” a way of life in NAMRIA.

The DAP Project Team for the training was composed of Ms. Natasha Michelle V. Abaya, Course Facilitator; Ms. Aileen A. Ricohermoso, Resource Person; and Ms. Myleen T. Soriao, Resource Person.
 
The scope and coverage of the three-day course featured the following modules: (1) Introduction to Quality Management System, (2) Context of the Organization, (3) Leadership, (4) Planning, (5) Support, (6) Operations, (7) Performance Evaluation, and (8) Improvement.
