NAMRIA conducts an orientation program on DPA 2012

NAMRIA, through the Administrative Division (AD) of the Support and Services Branch (SSB), conducted an orientation program on Data Privacy Act (DPA) of 2012. The event was held at the NAMRIA Lecture Hall, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on 27 September 2017.

The activity was conducted in line with NAMRIA’s continuing human resource development program. The activity aimed to orient NAMRIA’s Data Protection Processors and Officers, Freedom of Information Technical Working Group, and Personal Information Officers on the regulatory provisions and the implementing rules and regulations of DPA 2012.

The topics presented were DPA Overview, Appointing a Data Privacy Officer, and Privacy Management Program. After the presentations, an open forum between the resource persons and participants followed.

The resource persons were Atty. Ma. Josefina E. Mendoza and Atty. Janice G. Nadal from the National Privacy Commission. The seminar was facilitated by Ms. Florence M. Acle, Ms. Annalyn P. Perez, Ms. Eunice Nicole M. Zapanta, and Mr. Rommel D. Villaber of the Human Resource Development Section.
