The Philippine Civil Service is celebrating its 117th anniversary for the whole month of September 2017 with the theme “Tugon sa Hamon ng Pagbabago: Malasakit ng Lingkod Bayani.”
The official kick-off activity, dubbed as RACE (Responsible, Accessible, Courteous, and Effective) to Serve VII Fun Run, was spearheaded by the Civil Service Commission-National Capital Region (CSC-NCR) on 03 September 2017.
NAMRIA announced its CSC month activities during its flag raising ceremony on 04 September 2017. Among its major activities is the launching of a fundraising activity dubbed as “Puso para sa Marawi” to be led by the NAMRIA Bayanihang Bayan Desk (BBD) under the NAMRIA Morale and Welfare Committee. The BBD will organize a pageant requiring one female candidate from every branch who will solicit cash donations. The activity will run from September 04 to 22 of this year. The canvassing will be held at the NAMRIA Boardroom and in the presence of the Chairperson of the Socio-Cultural Sub-Committee of the Morale and Welfare, and the Organization of NAMRIA Employees (ONE) Executive Board Officers. The candidate who raises the highest amount of solicited cash donations will be declared as Miss NAMRIA Bayanihang Bayan 2017 and will be crowned during the flag raising ceremony on 25 September 2017. She will also represent the NAMRIA BBD during the turnover of the cash donations to the internally displaced persons who evacuated from the war-torn City of Marawi.
