The Hydrography Branch recently launched the 2017 Mobile App Development Contest in celebration of  World Hydrography Day.

The mobile application contest aims to encourage students to learn more about hydrography and its applications and use their knowledge to develop applications that can be used in the fields of hydrography and oceanography.

2017 NAMRIA Mobile App Challenge

Prizes at stake are 30,000 pesos for the top winner, 17,000 pesos for the second placer, and 8,000 pesos for the third placer.

The contest is open to all senior high school and college students in the country. Contestants must form a group of two to five members that should come from the same school or university. Only a maximum of two groups per school or university will be allowed.

Registration to the contest free. Interested teams should register at https://tinyurl.com/registerappchallenge

The competition calls for creativity to develop innovative and useful applications. Contestants must propose a mobile application that can be used by professionals or the public. It is highly recommended that the application serves to help NAMRIA in disseminating hydrographic or oceanographic information.
