Celebrating Women's Month at NAMRIA 2018: Making change work for women

With the theme, “We Make Change Work for Women”, NAMRIA joined the nation in celebrating Women’s Month.  During this year’s monthlong celebration, there were activities organized and spearheaded by the NAMRIA Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System that promoted the equality of rights and opportunities for women, gender equality, and empowering women as active contributors to development.
 
Aside from the kick-off ceremony held at the NAMRIA main office, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on 05 March 2018, there was the use in all of the Monday morning flag ceremonies in March of the Lupang Hinirang video with an all-women cast; Serbisyo para kay Juana distribution of Information, Education, and Communication materials to NAMRIA clients and employees; learning and development course on gender, diversity, and inclusiveness at the Civil Service Institute;  International Women’s Day Advocacy Run/Walk/Dance; InstaGAD contest: #NAMRIAWomenMakeChange; We Make Change Work for Women exhibit contest per Branch; scrapbook-making contest; In Her Amazing Shoes contest; inspirational talk by 1Lt. Loraine D. Faurillo of the 505th Search and Rescue Group, Philippine Air Force; career talk for the Raja Soliman Science and Technology High School; and moving-up ceremony of the NAMRIA Day Care Center.  The awarding of contest winners was held on 23 March 2018.  The following were the first-place winners: Eunice Nicole Zapanta, InstaGAD contest; Resource and Data Analysis Branch, GAD Month Exhibit Contest; Ens. Paola Ruth R. Zapanta, scrapbook-making contest; and Support Services Branch, In Her Amazing Shoes contest.
